The Chesapeake Bay Observing System (CBOS) is a network of moored buoys
and shore-based stations that continuously relay meteorological and
oceanographic data on Bay conditions. |

The Tropical Prediction Center (TPC) Web Site contains a wealth of
information on tropical systems. Tropical systems can give rise to
hurricanes and typhoons. This includes satellite imagery, aircraft
reconnaissance, active tropical system information, tracking charts
(you can download them), hurricane awareness topics and historical
information. This is the site to visit whenever a tropical storm makes
the transition to a hurricane! |
